First setup

There are two options for the initial setup of the air-Q:

A. Initial setup with your smartphone

Connect the air-Q with the supplied USB-C cable and the power supply unit. The two LED bars (green and blue) signal the boot process. This takes about 15 to 20 seconds.
Download the air-Q app from the Android Play Store or Apple App Store.
Go through the setup wizard of the air-Q app and configure the WLAN access. There are several setup methods for this:

Initial setup via QR code

Please scan the QR code on the packaging during setup. Your smartphone will then automatically connect to your air-Q’s Wi-Fi hotspot. This setup only works in factory condition!

Alternative setup – via the serial number This setup always works – even if the air-Q already has its own password and is no longer in factory settings. Please enter the serial number and password of your air-Q during setup. The app will then automatically connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot to complete the setup. Alternative setup – manually via smartphone Please connect manually to the air-Q Wi-Fi hotspot and follow the remaining steps. Follow the instructions in the air-Q smartphone app.

B. Initial setup with your PC/Mac

Connect the air-Q using the USB-C cable and power adapter provided. The two LED bars (green and blue) indicate that the device is booting up. This takes approx. 15 to 20 seconds. An air-Q Wi-Fi hotspot can now be found.
Connect to the air-Q hotspot (please ignore/accept any messages about a non-existent Internet connection):
- SSID: air-Q – Device [abcde]
- Password: airqsetup
Open the website http://air-q.local or http://192.168.4.1 in your browser. Set up the Wi-Fi and password there.
Download the air-Q app from the Android Play Store or Apple App Store, launch it, and select “Go directly to dashboard” at the bottom. The air-Q will be found automatically and the live measurement data will be displayed.

C. Device setup via configuration router/WLAN

The air-Q can also be configured using a configuration router. This is advantageous when configuring a large number of air-Q devices at the same time. Any router with internet access can be used as a configuration router, provided its network settings are set to these values. (Note: A smartphone hotspot can also be used):

SSID: airqsetup
WLAN-Passwort: airqsetup

air-Qs that have not yet been configured—i.e., those with the bottom two LEDs still lit yellow—will automatically connect to this Wi-Fi network. The air-Qs that connect to the configuration router will automatically log into the air-Q Cloud. The devices can then be added and configured online at my.air-q.com .
