The air-Q can be used on the go with full functionality even without an existing Wi-Fi network/internet using the hotspot function on the smartphone:
Make devices ready for mobile use
- Open smartphone app (Android/iOS) (and perform initial setup if necessary) and add air-Q to dashboard.
- Go to the settings of the air-Q (gear on the dashboard –> network settings) and add a MANUAL CONFIGURED WiFi there (e.g. SSID: “airqmobil” with password: “airqmobil“) and save it, so that the air-Q can connect here when available and upload its data. Any other name / password can be used – with this data a hotspot must be set up afterwards – so please remember it.
- Make these hotspot settings on the smartphone and create a WiFi hotspot (Android). Unfortunately, you cannot make your own WiFi settings on iOS and the hotspot is always named after the iPhone device name. Here, the SSID (Service Set Identifier) or hotspot name provided to the air-Q needs to be adjusted accordingly.
- After a restart, the air-Q will automatically connect to the smartphone’s mobile hotspot. The air-Q app will then automatically find the air-Q. All measurement data will also be uploaded to the cloud, provided data upload is enabled.
