- Turn on the display Connect the e-ink display on the back to a power source via USB-C and turn it on. Wait until the boot process is complete.
- Connect to TRMNL Wi-Fi A message will appear on the display indicating that you can use your computer or smartphone. Connect your computer or smartphone to the TRMNL Wi-Fi network.
- Open the configuration page After connecting, the configuration page will open automatically in your default browser. If not, go to http://4.3.2.1/.
- Configure your own Wi-Fi Select your preferred network from the list and enter your Wi-Fi access credentials.
- Register device After successfully connecting, the display will show the Friendly ID. Register at usetrmnl.com/signup and enter the Friendly ID to assign your device.
- Activate air-Q extension After you have logged in, you will find the extensions on the start page. Go to: 1. “Show extensions” and select the air-Q extension. 2. Click “Connect to air-Q.”
- Select air-Q device Select the air-Q device for which you want the data to be shown on the display. Once complete, confirmation of the successful connection will appear.
- Name view & set refresh rate Assign a name for the display (e.g., room name). Set the refresh rate to “every 15 minutes” or the value you prefer.
