The service life of individual sensors that are installed in the air-Q measuring device is – depending on the measuring principles – sometimes infinitely long:
- Particulate matter sensor measures the particles optically. No wear and tear.
- Carbon monoxide sensor measures according to a chemical principle. Lifespan > ten years
- Carbon dioxide sensor > ten years
- Sulfur dioxide sensor > seven years
- Ozone sensor > five years
- Oxygen sensor measures according to the principle of optical luminescence. Service life > five years
- Nitrogen dioxide sensor measures electrochemically. Service life > five years
- VOC sensor > ten years
