The sensor for air humidity In the air-Q is extremely precise (resolution 0.1%; accuracy 2%).
The humidity sensor detects the relative humidity inside the air-Q. This value is corrected by the minimum higher temperature inside the housing and thus the relative humidity outside the air-Q is calculated.
This is how it works: From the relative humidity inside the air-Q, at a given air temperature inside the air-Q, the absolute humidity can be calculated (this is independent of temperature). By subtracting the offset of the temperature value of the housing, the relative humidity outside the air-Q can be derived precisely.
Deviations in the measured value of the humidity can occur due to the adjustment with the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is installed inside the air-Q. The housing and the other electronics partially shield it. Therefore, depending on the installation location, it may show a minimal individual difference from the preset offset.
The offset can be corrected via the calibration function in the air-Q app under Settings [Gear on dashboard] –> Calibration –> Manual calibration.
