Pollen is partially detected by the fine dust sensor of the air-Q.
Pollen have a size of approximately between 10 µm and 100 µm – depending on the type of flower.
However, pollen cannot be distinguished directly from other fine dusts.
In combination with the other sensors of the air-Q, however, good statements can be made as to whether it could actually be pollen. For example, an increase in the fine dust concentration with an open window indicates that the fine dust is entering from outside. In this case it would be advisable to close the window – because fine dusts are unhealthy in any case.
