How are the sensors calibrated by the manufacturer?

The production of all sensors is subject to manufacturing-related fluctuations – for example, the installed electrochemical sensors such as nitrogen dioxide, sulphur dioxide and ozone. We therefore only use sensors from manufacturers who provide us with individual calibration data for each individual sensor. This is the only way to guarantee accuracy. In addition, we also perform a baseline calibration before each device is delivered.

Over time, the (electrochemical) sensors change due to chemical processes and aging. The air-Q has automatic drift correction to correct this. The smartphone app also offers the option of carrying out the baseline calibration yourself.
